My client London School of Commerce (LSC), opened campus in Belgrade on 8 February. LSC was opened by the His Excellency the British Ambassador, Michael Davenport, and Lord Tomlinson of Walsall. My team was engaged for communications consultancy and media relations for the event.
The London School of Commerce is the Associate College of the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, (UWIC) and has over 5,000 students enrolled at its campus in London. In addition LSC has campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Bangladesh, Colombo and Nairobi.
Lord Tomlinson, Chair of the LSC Advisory Board commented at the opening:
… the opening of the campus is not only educationally significant for LSC but we believe that it offers an additional opportunity for Serbia to be at the centre of high quality provision not only in Serbia but also for surrounding countries and beyond’
LSC, Belgrade, will offer UK MBA and Bachelor’s business and management degree programmes, with the first MBA intake in March 2011. The degrees are awarded by UWIC and quality assured through the UK’s national Quality Assurance Agency.
His Excellency the British Ambassador, Michael Davenport said that he welcomed the LSC, Belgrade, development and the opportunity if offered for many more Serbian students to access high quality UK degree programmes.
In accordance with the initial request of the Serbian Ministry of Education, LSC will apply for Serbian accreditation for its degrees in the future.
